Faital Pro HF142 8 Ohm Compression Driver

The Faital Pro HF142 combines a 1.4″ diaphragm with 110 dB sensitivity and a 0.7 to 18 kHz frequency range. Its dome diaphragm, neodymium magnet and perforated suspension for acoustic tuning give speaker builders a focused compression-driver design. Perfect for high-frequency sections.

Efficient High-Frequency Output

Firstly, with 80 W AES power above 0.9 kHz and a 160 W maximum power rating over the same range, the HF142 is specified for substantial high-frequency power handling. Its 110 dB sensitivity means the driver is designed to produce strong output from a given amplifier level. Meanwhile, the minimum crossover frequency is set at 0.9 kHz.

Purposeful Diaphragm Design

Moreover, the dome diaphragm uses Ketone Polymer as its diaphragm material. Also, a 65 mm voice coil made from Al and a Kapton former. Together with the annular phase plug design, these defined construction details give designers clear information. There is no confusion when matching the driver to a high-frequency loudspeaker system.

Compact Motor Structure

A neodymium ring magnet and 1.8 T flux density form the driver’s magnetic structure, while the 54.5 mm depth keeps the assembly compact. The 35.6 mm throat diameter, 29° conical exit angle and 102 mm 90° mounting-hole pattern make the physical layout straightforward to account for during enclosure design.

Built for Speaker Projects

For loudspeaker builders working on a high-frequency section, the HF142 brings its key electrical, acoustic and mounting details together in one documented component. The 8 Ohm nominal impedance, 8.4 Ohm minimum impedance and 0.4 dm³ net air volume give useful reference points for system planning and enclosure work.
