Faital Pro 5FE100 8 Ohm (Ω), 5-Inch Professional Woofer

Faital Pro 5FE100 is a compact professional woofer for speaker projects that need a practical 5-inch format and clearly defined driver parameters. Its 8 Ohm design, 80 W AES power handling, and steel basket give builders a solid starting point for developing compact cabinets and custom loudspeaker systems.

Compact mounting footprint

Firstly, the 130 mm nominal diameter keeps the driver suited to compact builds. Meanwhile, the 114 mm baffle cutout diameter and 71.5 mm depth make cabinet planning more straightforward. Moreover, a 133 mm bolt circle diameter and 6.5 mm flange and gasket thickness provide the key mounting dimensions needed when laying out a baffle.

Power for focused speaker builds

Additionally, the woofer is designed for speaker projects where its power limits can be matched carefully to the amplifier and cabinet. This is through it’s 80 W AES power handling and 160 W maximum power handling. The 8 Ohm nominal impedance and 6.3 Ohm minimum impedance give designers clear electrical values to work from.

Practical motor and suspension design

Furthermore, a 32 mm voice coil uses Cu winding material on a Kapton former. Also, the ferrite ring magnet produces 1 T flux density across a 6 mm magnetic gap depth. The Half Roll cone surround and 1x constant height waves spider profile define the driver’s suspension construction for cabinet modelling.

Parameters for cabinet modelling

The listed Thiele and Small parameters include a 65 Hz Fs, 5.7 dm^3 Vas, 0.45 Qts, and 5.25 mm Xmax. Together with 84 cm^2 Sd and 135 Hz EBP, these figures give speaker builders the core data needed to assess enclosure designs and predict how the woofer may behave in a cabinet.
