Crown XLi3500 – Two Channel 1350W Power Amplifier
The Crown XLi3500 Series is a Two-channel 1350W @ 4Ω Power Amplifier that can produce 2700W @ 8Ω Bridged. It represents a new era in affordable, reliability and quality power amplification. The XLi3500 is a versatile amplifier offering flexibility as it provides a choice of stereo/parallel/bridge-mono modes to suit your needs. Users also have the option to select input sensitivities of either 0.775V and 1.4V for added versatility. The efficient forced-air cooling will prevent excessive thermal buildup and the XLi3500 also features a circuit breaker that provides overload protection. The circuit breaker protects against shorts, no-load, on/off thumps and radio-frequency interference. With further protection in mind, there are 6x LEDs that will indicate signal presence, clip and fault for each channel.
This versatile high powered amplifier allows you to power your Pro Audio Gear @ (4Ω Dual 1350W), (8Ω Dual 1000W) and (8Ω Bridged 2700W). With so much versatility the XLi3500 is a perfect solution for musicians, DJs, and entertainers as well as houses of worship, discos, and entertainment venues.
Front Panel
On the front panel of the XLi3500 are 2x Grill Vents on each side. This feature allows for flow-through ventilation from front to back. The XLi3500 is rack-mountable and features the standard 19″ Inch dimensions with a height of 8.9cm or 2U. There are 2x Gain Controls which allow you to sets output levels of each channel independently. The Signal Presence LED will display a Green LED, one per channel and it will flash when the input signal exceeds -40 dBu. This is a great feature to aid you with peaking input signals.
A further display aid is the Clipping LED which displays as a Yellow LED, one per channel. It will flash when the signal is audibly distorting. Also present is a Fault LED which will flash in Red. Again one per channel will indicate the channel shut down as a safety mechanism. Lastly, there is a convenient Power Switch on the front of the unit where you can Push-on and push-off to activate the unit.
Rear Panel
The rear panel of the XLi3500 consists of the following features. A 50/60Hz 700w AC Power Connector (for 10A, 250V cables) with a built-in Circuit Breaker that will provide you with overload protection. The Output Section consists of 1x Speakon® and 1x Binding Post per channel connection to loudspeakers. The Large fan on the rear will provide front to back forced airflow for cooling the XLi3500 amplifier. The Input Section consists of 1x balanced XLR and 1x unbalanced RCA per channel. A Mode Switch is also present where you can switch between Stereo (dual), Parallel or Bridge modes. Lastly, a Sensitivity Switch is included so you can switch between 1.4V or 0.775V input sensitivity.
