ADAM Audio – Sub8 PRO Active Subwoofer
The ADAM Audio Sub8 PRO brings controlled low-frequency monitoring to compact setups. Made up of a fiber-reinforced 8” woofer, front-firing, front-ported design and PWM amplification. Network control adds practical room-tuning tools. Meanwhile, Stereo, LFE and Wide modes make it suitable for conventional, immersive and full-range applications.
Shape the Low End to Your Room
Firstly, connect the subwoofer to ADAM Control through Ethernet and adjust its monitoring setup from the software. You can manually time-align the unit, set four-band parametric EQ and vary the crossover between 70, 85, 100 and 115 Hz. These controls make it easier to tailor the low end to your room and system.
Flexible Studio Connectivity
Moreover, analog and digital connections cover a range of monitoring workflows. There are two XLR / TRS combi inputs, two XLR analog outputs and XLR AES3 input and output. Input selection can be analog or digital, while the supplied level and phase controls give you practical ways to balance the subwoofer with your monitoring chain.
Modes for Different Monitoring Setups
Choose Local / Stereo, LFE (<120Hz) or Wide operation to suit conventional, immersive or full-range monitoring applications. Sonarworks SoundID Reference compatibility adds another calibration option, and firmware updates can be managed through ADAM Control as future functionality is added.
Solid, Compact Construction
The front-firing, front-ported cabinet combines vinyl-wrapped MDF with a painted MDF front panel. Measuring 385 mm x 300 mm x 365 mm and weighing 15.3 kg, the Sub8 PRO fits into compact monitoring environments while its protection systems include independent peak and thermo limiters, plus over-current, over-temperature and under-voltage protection.
