The Synth is great for expressive live performances or in unique studio applications to help you produce your next big hit.

The rise of the synth in popular music began in the 60s and became even more prominent in disco music during the 70s and 80s. Today, there are a few types of synth, from keyboard synthesizers to the modular synthesizer, and they come in all different shapes and sizes. Some will even fit in your pocket and are battery powered.

Analog synths generate sound from electronic circuits, whereas a digital synthesizer creates sound on inbuilt computer chips. A bass synthesizer is perfect for creating the bass line of your track, and a drum machine, also a  synth, usually features pads to trigger drum-like sounds with knobs and faders available to tweak and alter your sound.
