Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt 3900
The Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt 3900 brings you a semi-modular monophonic synth delivering a rich, warm sound. Featuring a 39-point Eurorack 1/8″ patch bay for deeper experimentation and complete signal-routing control of audio and modulation options. Therefore, a must-have for the studio, live stage, and rehearsal applications.
Included with the Microvolt 3900 is a four-stage envelope generator and multi-purpose control-voltage generator. Together with a wide-range LFO as well as random modulation generator, arpeggiator, and a 128-note MIDI to CV converter. Allowing the Microvolt 3900 to easily interface with standard MIDI gear; creating a wide variety of dynamic and unique sounds. Additionally, the Microvolt 3900 includes 5 Nazca Audio patch cables, MIDI connector cable, and a universal DC power adaptor.
Wavefolder generates a huge range of timbres
Furthermore, the wave-folder control on the Microvolt 3900 generates additional harmonics from core wave shapes (sine, saw, and pulse). Functioning as an additive synthesizer, offering even more sonic potential when you patch a CV source to the wave folders CV input.
Extremely flexible LFO
The Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt 3900 combines an LFO and a sample and hold circuit to create unique modulation capabilities. It features sweepable waveforms, so you can even blend between its core waveshapes (ramp, pulse, saw, and square). By adjusting the random complexity slider, you can introduce random behavior into the LFO. Our synth experts at DJ City love the wide timing range, which goes from an ultra-slow five minutes well up to audio rates (about 3kHz).
Create additional movement with the 2-stage function generator
In addition to its versatile LFO and ADSR envelope generator, the Pittsburgh Modular Microvolt 3900 features a two-stage function generator. Allowing it to operate as an AD envelope with CV patch points in the off position. Or as an LFO with the controllable rise and fall stages in the one position.
