Crown XTi2002 – Two Channel 800W Power Amplifier (2x 800W @ 4ohm)
The Crown XTi2002 is a Two-Channel 800W @ 4Ω Power Amplifier that can produce 2000W @ 4Ω Bridged. It represents a new era in affordable, reliability and quality power amplification. It features an Enhanced Subharmonic Synth section and as a result, it will provide you with control over frequency, gain and filter type for system-specific tuning. The XTi2002 is a versatile amplifier offering an increased number of presets to a total of 50. 49 of which are user-definable.
The XTi2002 also includes 3x user-defined fan mode controls where you can use normal, early and full speed. This feature offers you to match a fan performance to a specific application. The new system monitoring provides software visibility of AC line voltage and power supply temperature. This versatile high powered amplifier allows you to power your Pro Audio Gear @ (2Ω Dual 1000W), (4Ω Dual 800W), (8Ω Dual 475W), (4Ω Bridged 2000W) and (8Ω Bridged 1600W).
The XTi2002 is recommended for Portable PA Systems and is a perfect solution for musicians, DJs, and entertainers as well as houses of worship, discos, and entertainment venues.
Front Panel Functionality
On the front panel of the XTi2002 are 2x Cooling Vents on each side. This feature allows for front to rear forced airflow ventilation from front to back. You can choose from 3x user-defined fan modes to control a matching fan performance to your specific application. The XTi2002 is rack-mountable and features the standard 19″ Inch dimensions with a height of 8.9cm or 2RU.
There are 2x Rotary Gain Level Controls which allow you to sets output levels of each channel independently. The LCD screen is a backlit liquid crystal display that shows enabled presets and speaker processing. Because it includes a backlit screen it’s perfect for use in low light situations. Benight the LCD screen are quick access Sel/Prev/Next Buttons. You can use these 3x buttons to access menu items and front panel lockout.
XTi2002 Signal Indicators
Also, present on the front panel is some handy indicators that provide direct feedback on your audio signals. The Ready Indicator will display 2x green LEDs. One for each channel will illuminate when the amplifier is ready to produce audio. A very useful tool for troubleshooting cable runs is the Signal Presence Indicator. Here 2x green LEDs, one for each channel, illuminate when the channel input exceeds -40dBu.
The (-20) Indicator with green LEDs, will illuminate when the output signal exceeds -20dB below the clipping point. An LED is present for each channel. The (-10) Indicator also lights up with green LEDs and one for each channel. It will illuminate when the output signal exceeds -10dB below the clipping point.
The Clip Indicator will have red LEDs, one for each channel and will illuminate at the threshold of audible distortion. Finally, the Thermal Indicator will illuminate with red LEDs one for each channel. It will illuminate when the thermal compression begins. This will indicate and is displayed due to excessive temperature conditions. This is a great safety feature is aimed at warning you when the temperature begins to rise.
Rear Panel Connectivity
The rear panel of the XTi2002 offers a variety of input and output options. The Binding Post Output Jacks offer one pair per channel and accepts banana plugs or bare wire. Below these are the 4-Pole Speakon® Output Connectors. These two connectors accept 2-pole and 4-pole Speakon© connectors. The channel 1 connector is wired for both channels. This means that it can be used for bridge-mono wiring or stereo wiring of two speakers to a single Speakon. The large fan on the rear will provide front to back forced airflow for cooling the XTi2002 amplifier.
The XTi2002 also feature Link/Out Connectors. Two 3-pin XLR output connectors are provided (one per channel) to a loop-thru signal from one amplifier to another. The Input Connectors offer two 3-pin XLR input connectors (one per channel). Lastly, the XTi2002 includes a HiQnet USB Connector. This Type B USB connector allows you to connect the amplifier to a computer for use with System Architect™ and Band Manager™ software.
