Boss AB-2
The Boss AB-2 is a 2-way selector that makes changing inputs or outputs easy. One stomp is all it takes to instantly switch between two guitars or effects setups. You can also change amplifiers or switch between an amp and a tuner. BOSS prides its self on rock-solid construction, therefore, ensuring the AB-2 will stand the test of time.
Connector Types and Line Indicators
The pedal features 3x Connectors which include an A jack, B jack and IN/OUT jack. When connected the indicator lights will display which line you are using. You can easily identify which channel you are currently utilising as the light colours represent line A in RED and line B in YELLOW.
Power Supply
The AB-2 is powered by 2x Dry Battery [R03/LR03 (AAA) type batteries which are included. The current draw on the stompbox is 5 mA or less, which means that the expected battery life under continuous use is (Carbon: 100 hours). This figure will however vary depending on the actual conditions of use. You also receive an Owner’s Manual and a number sticker when purchasing the AB-2.
AB-2 Practical Uses
The AB-2 is an affordable A/B selector which offers a 1-click operation and silent switching. As a result, it is perfect for live performances as it provides the ability to switch between an amplifier for creative control. It also allows you to switch between two FX setups offering a variety of different signal chains. This is great for either cover or original bands that want to expand their tonal possibilities.
