Arturia MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted MIDI Keyboard 25 Key – Limited Edition

The Arturia MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted is a Limited Edition 25-key MIDI keyboard controller. It features an expressive, velocity-sensitive keyboard with 8x RGB backlit pads. It also includes 16x rotary encoders to put you in total control of your virtual instruments, DAW, and effects. Two of the knobs are clickable which allow you to navigate menus and select presets from the controller.

The MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted also includes powerful and creative software. It ships with a software synth (Analog Lab Lite); a DAW (Abelton Live Lite); and a virtual piano (Grand Piano Model D). Additional software includes Melodics free trial and Arturia MIDI Control Center.

All improved Mk2 Features on the MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted

Responsive controls are the foundation for any keyboards when it comes to artists creating music. The knobs on the MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted are more accurate and provide additional sensitivity to subtle tweaks. This results in you being able to capture every detail of your sound without compromising on creativity. The enhanced pitch-bending has also been revisited. It includes a touch strip and now becomes an essential expressive component. It’s smoother than before and provides greater note accuracy. It allows you to slide your finger across the strip and bend notes effortlessly.

Also featured on the MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted are RGB feedback lights on pads. You can disable the individual LEDs without creating new templates. Arturia has listened to the feedback and has changed the Oct- & Oct+ pad LEDs to be fixed rather than flashing. As a result, it makes it easier to track octaves and the interface is less distracting.

Amazing integration with Analog Lab Lite

When you load up Analog Lab Lite you will find the control functions of the MiniLab MK2 are already smart-mapped to the best features. If you want to change the way it works, you can.

Analog Lab Lite provides you with streamlined access to hundreds of presets from the award-winning V Collection. This tag-based system will spoil you for choice with 17 faithfully modelled legendary analog synths, digital workstations, organs, string machines and pianos. Best of all, each preset is automatically mapped to the MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted with the most important sound parameters. You can then make intuitive tweaking and performance controls to easily customise the sound. You can also custom map to any controllers via the MIDI Learn feature.

Compact controller, enormous potential

All 8x pads on the MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted are velocity and pressure-sensitive. This will provide you with a great dynamic feel when designing your drums. Because the pads feature RGB backlighting, it helps you identify whether you’re launching clips in Abelton Live. The backlights also assist you in triggering drum sounds, or tweaking presets in Analog Lab. You can also switch between 2 different internal pad banks, enabling a full 16 drum sounds or audio clips.

The MiniLab MK2 Black Inverted is a USB class-compliant design. This ultimately means that there is no awkward installation process or clunky settings. Just simply plug it in and start making music. It also means that MiniLab MkII can control iOS virtual instrument apps; as well as software on both PC or Mac. The included MIDI Control Center software allows you to edit and save different MIDI mappings to suit whatever project. You can also save up to 8 of these MIDI maps on its internal memory. Recalling them is as simple as pressing ‘shift’ and hitting one of the 8 pads.

The MiniLab MK2 is also available in White and Limited Edition Deep Black.
